44th Annual Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Festival
Welcome to the Bluegrass Boot Camp!
The 5th Annual Youth Bluegrass Boot Camp, sponsored by First Quality Music Supply, J. D. Crowe and The New South, Martin Guitar Company, and Central Indiana Bluegrass will take place Sunday-Tuesday, June 13-15. Camp Director Sarah Wasson will be heading up the camp and instructors. Interested youth ages 6-18 years of age will be allowed to sign up for the fun but structured camp. The Youth Bluegrass Boot Camp consists of professional instructors and will teach students in small group and one-on-one sessions - brand new through advanced. There will be over 15 hours of hands on instruction (banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass) covering topics such as: basic instrument care and handling, vocals and harmonies, stage presence and working with microphones, songwriting, jam etiquette - you name it!
